Tiger Woods is now 18/1 to win WGC Bridgestone, with Victor Chandler reporting some big wagers on the American.
Woods has been backed from 20s to 18/1 with
Victor Chandler for the WGT Championship at Bridgestone beginning tomorrow as punters obviously think the former World Number 1 is worth a speculative interest even with a rookie caddie returning from a 12-week injury lay off.
VC spokesperson Charlie McCann told Golfbettingpro: “Punters have finally decided that on a course where he has won on no fewer than seven previous occasions Woods was too big at 20/1 for Firestone, and he has been well supported this morning. In a stellar field he will have to be back to somewhere near his best to get competitive but, it would appear, there are still some Tiger fans out there. World number one Luke Donald is friendless and out to 18/1 from 16s.”
