Paddy Power paying seven places on the Open Championship

The 2012 Open Championship does not tee off until July 19, but that has not stopped Paddy Power announcing a special promotion for the tournament at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

Paddy Power are giving Golfbettingpro readers an exclusive £250 free bet

The Open is the oldest of the four majors and Paddy has got an unbelievable offer lined up as the world’s top golfers fight it out for the claret jug and over £750,000 in winnings.

Paddy Power is paying seven places at 1/4 the odds on the Open Championship!

A spokesperson told Golfbettingpro.com: “It is not the first golf special of the year – in fact it’s the 13th – but Paddy has gone the extra mile for punters this time by paying out seven places.

“Some other bookies are only paying out five places, so with two extra spots to play for, Paddy Power punters won’t have to rely so much on the luck of the green.”

Defending champion Darren Clarke is a massive price to regain his trophy, with Rory McIlroy the Irishman most people fancy to do well.

Tiger Woods has found his roar again and goes into the tournament as the favourite after picking up the AT&T National title at the start of the month.

It was his 74th PGA Tour win and now Woods is aiming for golf’s most converted prize for the fourth time.
