Crans-sur-Sierre GC, Switzerland
Course Par Value: 71
Course Yardage: 6,857
A relatively short course which plays even shorter due to the altitude factor. Crans is 5000 feet above sea level, which means the ball travels 10% further in the thin mountain air. Many of the greens are like upturned saucers, so scrambling skills are important here. The four par-5’s are the 1st (easiest), 9th, 14th and 15th, and all provide birdie / eagle chances. However, the final three holes are very demanding. Unusually, there are five par-3’s.
The course is host to the Omega European Masters, one of the oldest European Tour events.
GolfBettingpro Notes: Previous course experience is invaluable on the greens, which are difficult to read, and also with club selection at the altitude. By sticking to players with sound course and solid current form, you should find the winner!
