A long course with average width fairways leading to grainy bermuda greens which have many tricky slopes. Water is a factor on six holes, including the 18th. The par-5’s are the 1st, 9th (the toughest), 10th and 18th. However, the key factor here is the Shamal wind which can make the course a severe test, especially for late starters.
Host to the Qatar Masters, the middle tournament of the three-week “Middle East Swing.”
Bettingpro Notes: This is a course that favours long hitters. Due to the wind, which tends to get up in the afternoon, an early round 1 tee time is really advantageous as players can gain confidence and momentum by posting a solid round 1 score.
