The European Tour has rolled into Ireland for this week’s Irish Open, and there is a number of Irishman with their sights set on winning their home open.
Rory Mcllroy is the 6/1 favourite to win the Irish Open at Royal Portrush, with fellow Irish major winners Graeme McDowell 8/1, Padraig Harrington 10/1 and Darren Clarke a 50/1 shot. Mcllroy is 13/8 to be the top Irishman over the four rounds.
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams told Golfbettingpro.com: “After going so close at the US Open, it is not surprising that McDowell is the best backed player. He has been cut from 10/1 to 8/1, but all the major winners are going to be losers for us.”
