Le Golf National Golf Course Betting Guide

Ross Aylward - 14 Jan 2008

Le Golf National, Paris, France
Course Par Value: 71
Course Yardage: 7,225

A mostly exposed, American-style course which has a lot of undulations and many water hazards. The average-width fairways lead to poa annua bentgrass greens. The three par-5’s are the 3rd, 9th and 14th. The par-5 470 yard 18th was changed to a par-4 in 2004, making it a demanding test over water and by far the toughest hole on the course.

Apart from two exceptions (1999 and 2001), the course has been host to the French Open since 1991.

GolfBettingpro Notes: On a course that demands accuracy, it may be wise to select players whose trademark is straight driving and who are high up in the GIR stats. In-running punters should note that the final four holes are very tough.
