Luke Donald sealed his place at the top of the US and European money lists this week but he trails Darren Clarke and Rory McIlroy in the BBC SPOTY betting.
Despite an astonishing year, winning both the US & European money lists,
William Hill rate Luke Donald as a 50/1 outsider for the BBC SPOTY with fellow golfers Darren Clarke 3/1 and Rory Mcllroy 9/1.
Hills offer 16/1 that Luke wins the first major of the year in 2012 but expect his wait to continue as Donald is 1/8 not to win a major next year.
Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams told Bettingpro:
“There can be little doubt that the golf vote is going to be split between the three players in the shortlist but considering what Luke has achieved this year 50/1 is a huge price.”
