The 2012 BMW Championship at Crooked Stick in Indiana is the third of four FedEx Cup play-off events and limited to the top 70 players in the series standings.

All the players in action will be hoping to perform well enough to get them into the Tour Championship, which only 30 will contest when a $10million bonus is at stake.

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy renew rivalry with three wins apiece now on the PGA Tour after the Northern Irishman took the Deutsche Bank Championship last week.

Here are the top 5 bets for the 2012 BMW Championship:

1) Padraig Harrington each-way outright @ 66/1 with Bet365

The Irishman was resigned to his fate of missing out on the 2012 Ryder Cup before the team was announced but will still want to prove a point to European team captain Jose Maria Olazabal. Has been playing consistently and is due another top-five finish.

2) Jeff Overton each-way first round leader @ 66/1 with Stan James

Being from Indiana, the 2010 Ryder Cup player will be up for this event in front of his home fans. He began with a brilliant 64 in the Deutsche Bank Championship last week before finishing tied seventh, so is in form and capable of making flying starts.

3) Pat Perez top-20 finish @ 7/2 with Paddy Power

The fiery Arizona player is enjoying a decent year without pulling up any trees and has been knocking on the door of the top 20 in most of his last eight starts. This time he could break through, being up against a smaller field at Crooked Stick.

4) John Senden top Australian @ 7/2 with Paddy Power

Adam Scott looks way too short in this market at odds on, especially with class acts such as Senden, Geoff Ogilvy and Greg Chalmers up against him. Senden is the one to go with due to his sheer reliability and represents a good value bet.

5) Seung-Yul Noh each-way top Rest of the World @ 20/1 with Ladbrokes

The promising young Korean is in fine form and is grouped with the Australians, South Africans, Canadians etc in this market. There are 15 runners and Noh can reward each-way support with Ladbrokes, the only firm paying out on four places
