The current USPGA Champion YE Yang, who won the China Open last week, returns to his Korean home town for this week's Ballantine's Championship, which returns to the links-style Pinx Golf Club on Jeju Island, South Korea.
Ross' Three Off The Tee:-
Anthony Kim @ 11/1 bet365
Yang is clearly in great form and will receive massive support from the galleries, but Kim will be fresher having taken last week off and his Korean heritage should ensure he gets plenty of support too. Not that he needs it as he has never been short of confidence and it will be sky-high coming into this week, having followed up his win in the Shell Houston Open with a third at the Masters. His big-hitting style is well suited to Redstone and Augusta so this week's par-72, 7,345-yard layout is right up his street. At 11/1, he's a backable price too.
Rhys Davies @ 28/1 Stan James
The Welshman is not as long as Kim off the tee but his putting is out of the top drawer and his form on the European Tour has been a revelation with a win (Morocco), second (last week's China Open) and third (Malaysia) in his last four outings. Having played much of his early golf on the Asian Tour, he will also be comfortable with this week's surroundings.
Peter Lawrie @ 66/1 Boylesports
The Irishman has been knocking on the door in 2010 with good efforts in Qatar (ninth), Malaysia (tenth) and Morocco (tenth) and falls into the 'winner waiting to happen' category. And, given he's already shown a liking for the track - closed out with a 66 in this event last year - it could well happen this week.
Bubbling Under: Mikko Ilonen (50/1 Paddy Power)
Plays links-style courses well - top-20 finish here last year - and is in good form having finished fifth in China. Another high-finish is on the cards.
Punters Beware: YE Yang
He's clearly in great form and the galleries will be routing for him all the way but that will bring added pressure and winning back-to-back is never easy.
