Following his victory at the Portugal Masters, William Hill have opened their odds on Tom winning one of golf’s Majors.
William Hill offer 80/1 that newly-turned professional Lewis wins the Open Championship in 2012 and 5/6 that he wins a major title before the end of 2017.
Meanwhile, Rory Mcllroy is the 11/8 favourite to win the Grand Slam of Golf with Carl Schwartzel 2/1, Kevin Bradley 7/2 and Darren Clarke the 11/2 outsider.
Hills are 8/11 that either Mcllroy or Darren Clarke lift the trophy.
Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams told Bettingpro.com: “Apart from Rory Mcllroy the majors were won by 100/1 outsiders and it has not come as a surprise that punters are backing Mcllroy to make mincemeat of the field.”
