South African Kruger (4/1 Tournament Winner) shot two eagles and two birdies as a six-under-par 66 improved his total to 11-under on Saturday, but that did not ensure he pulled away from the rest of the field as just three shots separates the first 10 players.
Scotland’s Peter Whiteford (8/1) was unable to continue the good form that gave him the overnight lead after rounds one and two, but an even-par 72 on Saturday was enough to put him in second place on 10-under alongside Marcel Siem (4/1) and Jean-Baptiste Gonnet (6/1).
Irishman Paul McGinley (25/1) and Scot Marc Warren (16/1) are among a group of players a shot further back on nine-under through 54 holes. That group features Jose Manuel Lara (14/1), Andrea Pavan (20/1), Marcus Fraser (10/1) and Prom Meesawat (20/1).
Alejandro Canizares (25/1), who shared the lead after round one, is now eight-under alongside the likes of Thorbjorn Olesen (20/1), while Gregory Havret (25/1) is among four players tied for 16th place on seven-under.
