Adam Scott believes he is on the verge of the best run of his career as he prepares to line-up in the Tour Championship.
Scott will be one of 30 players that will take to the first tee at East Lake Golf Club bidding to win not just the $1.4million prize for first place but also the massive $10million winner's bonus for finishing top in the season-long FedEx Cup standings.
No one has played better at the Majors this year with the Australian top of the 12 players to have made the cut in all four of the 2012 Grand Slam events.
Scott had to settle for runner-up at The Open in July but believes he has never struck the ball better and is poised for great things.
He said: "Overall, my game's never been better. I said that at times last year but I think it's continually improving and it's just hard to maybe believe it because I'm not winning at the moment.
"But I honestly believe all this good stuff is accumulating and there is going to be a big reward. I think there will be a hot stretch where I'll win a bunch because I know my game is as good as anyone's."
Scott's recent good form has taken him back up the world rankings and he now lies fifth in the standings with just Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood ahead of him.
All four will be in opposition this week but Scott is excited at the challenge of taking them on as he continues building towards his overall aim of winning his first Major title.
He added: "Moving forward I will be setting the goal to win a Major. I really feel like my process to get there is in good shape. I've got some good stuff to work off now. The results this year prove that.
"Cumulatively I shot better than anyone in all four majors and I was one putt away on the last green at the US Open and PGA from a top ten in all of them."
Scott is 16/1 with
