Ladbrokes will be paying out on your player if he finishes second to Tiger Woods in the 2012 US Masters
Ladbrokes will pay out on the runner-up of the US Masters as a winner if Tiger Woods wins in Augusta this weekend.
The current world number six is the 9/2 favourite and the firm are confident that Woods will pick up his 5th green jacket this weekend, prompting them into paying out on the runner-up as a winner. Heading into the tournament Woods has also seen his odds cut to 5/2 (from 3/1) of winning more than 19 Majors in his career.
As the hot second favourite at 6/1 in the betting, Rory McIlroy is hot on the heels of Woods in his quest for his first Masters success. However after coming so close yet so far last year it's 9/1 that McIlroy faces another meltdown and loses his grasp on the trophy after leading for 63 holes.
Following his victory at the Shell Houston Open, Hunter Mahan has been slashed to 20/1 (from 40/1) for a win in Augusta. As the highest ranked American in the world there's a 10/1 chance he beats his fellow compatriots as the best American on the final leader board.
English golfers Luke Donald (16/1), Lee Westwood (20/1) and Justin Rose (33/1) are attracting all the each-way money from patriotic punters in the run up to Thursday's big tee off.
The bookies are also paying out 5 places, which sees Phil Mickelson (13/8) Donald (12/5), Westwood (3/1) and Hunter Mahan (4/1) all vying for a place with Woods (4/11) and McIlroy (8/13).
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told GolfBettingpro: "Pre-tournament bets on Woods and McIlroy are already causing us a headache over payouts. As far as punters are concerned it's a two horse race and they're split between the rivals."
She added: "A Woods-McIlroy 1-2 will easily see the firm stump up a seven-figure sum."
