Brown Deer Park Golf Course Guide and Betting Tips

Ross Aylward - 16 Jan 2008

Brown Deer Park Golf Course, Milwaukee, WI Course Par Value: 70 Course Yardage: 6,759

Brown Deer Park is a tree-lined public course with an unusual layout of five par-3’s and only three par-5’s – the 6th, 15th (usually the easiest) and 18th. The toughest hole overall is the par-4 4th (485 yards) which played as a par-5 until 2003. The greens are undulating and fast, and the thick rough places a premium on accuracy.

The US Bank Championship in Milwaukee, formerly the Greater Milwaukee Open, was first played in 1968 and moved to Brown Deer Park in 1994. It used to be played the week after the British Open but, for 2007, it became an alternate event played the same week.

Golf Betting Pro Notes: When betting in-play, bear in mind that with two par-5’s in the last 4 holes, there’s a fairly easy end to the round, so clubhouse leaders are liable to be overtaken.
