Twelve months ago David Toms made a big comeback at Colonial, winning on the PGA Tour for the first time since 2006 with a closing 67 to win by one stroke over Charlie Wi.

American veteran Jim Furyk goes into the 2012 Crowne Plaza Invitational looking for his first win at Colonial and his first PGA Tour win since 2010. Furyk has finished runner-up here twice in 1998 and 2007. So far this year Furyk has recorded two top tens, with a second at the Transitions Championship his best finish.

Elsewhere, 2010 British Open winner Louis Oosthuizen will be making his Colonial debut. The 29-year-old South African narrowly missed claiming his second major title earlier this month at the Masters, and has secured four top-25 finishes in six tournaments.

2001 Colonial winner Sergio Garcia also arrives in Texas with the hope of securing his first win of the season. The Spaniard finished 12th at the Masters, and has made the cut in all six tournaments he has entered this season.

There are also a number of past winners competing including Zach Johnson, Tim Herron, Nick Price, Corey Pavin, Fulton Allem, Keith Clearwater, Steve Flesch and Fort Worth resident Rory Sabbatini.
