East Lake Golf Club is now the permanent home to THE TOUR Championship, the Tour’s richest event. At over 7,100 yards, it’s long for a par-70 track and can represent a tough test. The two par-5’s, the 9th and 15th, are the easiest on the course. The closing hole is a 235yard par-3.
Starting in 2007, THE TOUR Championship will be the final FedEx Cup event. However, the winner of the TOUR Championship will not necessarily be awarded the Fedex Cup. That will instead go to the player who has accumulated the most FedEx Cup points for the entire season, along with a cheque for $10m!
