Harbour Town Golf Links, Hilton Head Island, SC Course Par Value: 71 Course Yardage: 6,973
This Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus-designed course is the closest the Americans have to a seaside links. Long hitters have no great advantage here. For one, it only has three par-5’s, so cannot be over-powered. Instead, accuracy is required from the tee and into the greens, which are among the smallest on Tour. Harbour Town is home to the Verizon Heritage. The ’Heritage’ has had a number of different titles over the years due to sponsorship changes, but is firmly established in the calendar as the first tournament after The Masters.
Golf Betting Pro Notes: This is a course specialists’ track so look to back players who have show good form here in the past. Davis Love is a good example, winning five the event times in all! Also, players who have been in serious contention at Augusta the week before can be opposed as they are likely to be mentally and physically exhausted.
