Magnolia Golf Course Guide and Betting Tips

Ross Aylward - 17 Jan 2008

Magnolia Golf Course, Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista, FL
Course Par Value: 72
Course Yardage: 7,516

Since December 1971, the Magnolia has been the final-round home of the Disney Golf Classic – the Palm Course* is also used for the first two rounds. It has over 1,500 Magnolia trees (original name eh!), lots of water and lots of sand. The par-5’s are the 4th, 8th, 10th and 14th. The par-3 6th has a Mickey Mouse-shaped bunker (pur-lease!). The greens are Bermuda.

*Palm Course is a shorter track of 6,957 yards (par 72). It has water in play on nine holes and mostly tree-lined fairways. The par-5’s are the 1st, 7th, 11th and 14th.

Starting in 2007, The Disney Golf Classic will be the final event in the PGA Tour Fall Series, and also the final official event of the PGA Tour season. In the past, the event has been a typically low-scoring pro-am, with one round at each of the two courses over the first two days, then two more rounds at Magnolia over the weekend.

Golf Betting Pro Notes: If betting in-play on Sunday, note that the par-4 17th and 18th give up relatively few birdies.
