Muirfield Village Golf Club Course Guide and Betting Tips

Ross Aylward - 16 Jan 2008

Muirfield Village Golf Club, Dublin, OH Course
Par Value: 72 Course
Yardage: 7,265

Muirfield Village Golf Club was conceived and designed by Jack Nicklaus. Its fairways are wide and forgiving but, for the wayward tee shot, severe rough and 75 bunkers lie in wait. Water comes into play on 11 holes. There are four par-5’s – 5th, 7th, 11th and 15th – but the toughest holes are par-4’s, including the revamped 17th with trees to the right that can cause a blind approach shot from that side of the fairway. The closing hole, which has a heavily-bunkered green, can also be testing.

The Memorial Tournament has been held at Muirfield Village since 1976 and has twice been won by its architect Jack Nicklaus.

Golf Betting Pro Notes: It takes a quality player to win here, so don’t look too far down the betting list. The generous fairways give Long hitters an advantage.
