TPC at Southwind, Memphis, TN
Course Par Value: 70
Course Yardage: 7,244
The TPC at Southwind is unusual in that the fairways are zoysia grass, instead of the more common Bermuda, meaning that the ball can be ‘swept’ off the fairway, with less of a divot as a result. Like most courses used on the PGA Tour in recent times, several holes have been lengthened and more bunkers added. However, it is still relatively ‘easy’ and low scores are common.
The Stanford St. Jude Championship was founded in 1958 as the Memphis Open and moved to its present location at the TPC at Southwind in 1989. The event is often played in hot and humid conditions and there are often interruptions caused by thunderstorms.
Golf Betting Pro Notes: Players who are leading or are joint leading with one round to go has a great record in this event, so don’t look too far down the round 3 leaderboard for the eventual winner.
