New world number one Luke Donald is the 10/1 favourite to win this week’s Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio.
Donald took top spot from Lee Westwood at last week’s BMW PGA Championship, beating his fellow Englishman in a play-off, and he is favourite with the likes of
Betfred and
StanJames to secure his second successive title this weekend.
American Phil Mickelson is 14/1 with a host of bookmakers, including
bet365, to win this tournament for the first time in his career, with Matt Kuchar 18/1 (
totesport) to claim his first PGA Tour title since August of last year.
Steve Stricker and Rory McIlroy are 28/1 with bet365, but the Northern Irishman has struggled for form since his final-round collapse that cost him The Masters title in April, while defending champion Justin Rose is 35/1 (Betfred) to retain his crown.
KJ Choi is 28/1 (totesport) despite failing to make an impact at the BMW PGA Championship just one week after his victory at HP Byron Nelson Championship, while last week’s winner Keegan Bradley is 150/1 (
bwin) to follow up his maiden title with another surprise success.
Dustin Johnson is 33/1 (
SportingBet), Rickie Fowler 35/1 (Betfred) and Bubba Watson 40/1 (totesport), while Jim Furyk can be backed at 45/1 with SportingBet.
But if you are thinking of backing Furyk you would be advised to head to
Victor Chandler who may only be offering 33/1, but they do have a special “Hole-in-won” promotion on all PGA Tour and European Tour events.
All you need to do is have a bet on a player to win The Memorial Tournament – win or each-way – and if your selection loses but has a hole-in-one during the tournament, Victor Chandler will pay you out as a winner! Furyk has already made one hole-in-one this year, at the recent Crowne Plaza Invitational.
