The TPC Deere Run is a stadium course specifically designed to host the John Deere Classic.

The three par-5’s are all reachable, although the 10th (longest at 583 yards) has a small green and many players opt to lay up.

There are three particularly difficult par-4’s: the 9th (at 485 yards); the 15th (with a well protected narrow green) and the 18th (another green surrounded by loads of trouble).

The 14th is the ultimate risk / reward hole. At 361 yards and downhill it’s driveable, but miss the green and you’re in the ‘Valley of Sin’, which leaves a blind shot to a well-protected green.

The John Deere Classic has been held at the TPC at Deere Run since 2000, with the sponsors holding a commitment until 2010.

Golf Betting Pro Notes: Generally, this course rewards accuracy and most of the players that do well here are ranked more highly for driving accuracy than driving distance. The John Deere Classic is renowned for first-time winners.
