Waialae Country Club, Honolulu, HI
Course Par Value: 70
Course Yardage: 7,060
The Waialee course has been toughened up in recent years but it is still relatively easy. Accuracy rather than length and an ability to keep the ball low ‘under the wind’ are required here. The grainy Bermuda greens favour the skilled putters.
The Waialee course has been home to the Sony Open (which changed its name from the ‘Hawaiian’ Open in 1999) since 1965.
GolfBettingpro Notes: This is a difficult course to play catch up so, when betting in-play, look to back a player within three shots of the lead at halfway and in the top two or three after the third round.
