The 2012 Ryder Cup is sure to be a thrilling spectacle – and bookmaker Blue Square are running a superb money-back special offer on the Medinah contest.

Two closely-matched, high-quality teams are in opposition with Europe the defending champions having just edged a thrilling match at Celtic Manor two years ago which was carried over to the Monday due to heavy rain, Graeme McDowell holing the winning putt in his singles against Hunter Mahan.

Rory McIlroy has established himself as unquestionably the best player in the world recently with three wins in five weeks, including the US PGA Championship, and he will spearhead captain Jose Maria Olazabal’s hopes of retaining the trophy.

But the Americans, skippered by Davis Love III, also look extremely strong with three of their players having won Major tournaments for the first time since the last Ryder Cup, while Tiger Woods is back in form.

Everyone wants to see a tight, dramatic finale to the competition with the tension ramped up over the last few singles matches on Sunday September 30 just outside Chicago.

But just in case the Americans, who are favourites to win back the trophy, edge it amid heartbreaking scenes for the European team, the money-back special offer from Blue Square will provide some consolation:

Place a single bet on Europe to win the 2012 Ryder Cup before the event begins and if they lose by two points or less, your losing stake will be refunded as a free bet
